Y5 Centre for life Visit, Newcastle

Year 5, visited the Centre for Life in Newcastle.

The purpose of this visit was to enhance their learning about Science and Space.

They explored a Science Zone where they could experiment with air, gears, magnets, light, music and touch, and a brain zone where they solved puzzles and could watch their own brain waves! After that they participated in a Tim Peake workshop carefully considering different personal protective equipment, using it to complete engineering tasks, they accurately carried out absorbency tests and used robots to pick up shapes.

Finishing off with a planetarium show, learning about the wonders of the solar system!

Amazing visit for both the children and staff.
