Happy New Year - 23 January 2010

Sign Language

Mrs Wiles is looking for new members for her sign language club which runs on a Monday from 3 to 3.45 p.m.  If your child is interested in attending this club please collect a consent form from the office.
 
Choir

Choir with Mrs Gale will begin again next week.  The club runs on a Wednesday, 3 to 4 p.m. and costs £1 per session and open to all in key stage 2 (years 3 to 6).  If your child is interested in joining choir please collect a consent form from the office.
 
Uniform

The deadline date for school uniform orders this half term is 29.1.10 Delivery should therefore be made before we break up for the half term holidays on 12 Feb 2010.  You can order online at www.stparents.co.uk or you can collect an order form from the school office and return it with cheque or cash for payment.
 
 
Neighbourhood Policing

Your local PCSO officers will be attending this school on Tuesday, 12th January 2010 from 3 to 3.30 p.m.  They will be available for all staff, parents and children who have any issues and would like to speak to the police.

Seaton Carew Cricket Club

Seaton Carew Cricket Club is now recruiting Year 5 and 6 children for its under 11 team.  If you child is interested coaching sessions start at English martyrs sports hall on Tuesday, 19th January, 7-9 p.m. for 10 weeks.  For further information phone Malcolm Foster on 07770452347.
 
Flora – Cooking with Schools

Our school have registered with Flora and are once again collecting tokens for free school cooking equipment.  Thank you to everyone who last year registered or collected and sent in tokens which helped school get digital scales and a lemon squeezer.
 
Weather

Can I please ask you to check BBC Tees or TFM radio each morning for news about school closures during this unusual period of extreme weather.
We will endeavour to keep our school open as long as staff can travel safely to work and our heating system and roof holds up.
At this present time I cannot foresee that we will have to close however the quickest way to communicate with all our families in such an emergency is via the local radio station.
 
Research Club – Year 2
