Governors

It is with sadness that I have to inform you that John Cole has stepped down from his position as Chair of Governors and will no longer be a member of our governing body.  He has been a foundation governor for 26 years and held the position of Chair for 4 years.  We would like to thank him greatly for his long, loyal service and dedication to our school.  He will be greatly missed.  Mr Anderson, our vice Chair, will be acting Chair of Governors until a permanent appointment is made.

Cross Country

Last week a number of our key stage 2 children ran in a town wide cross country race at Summerhill.  Our team came 2nd overall, which was a brilliant effort.  A number of our children have now been selected to run for the Hartlepool schools’ team and will race against children from other local authorities, in Middlesbrough on the 4th March.  They are Kayley Nixon, Yasmin Smith, Rebecca Laking, Emily Scotson-Smith, Sean Weegram, Jack Pounder, Rhys Gustavson, Laura Bunter, Kate Hardy, Emma Bunter, Robin Caswell, Tarren Wager and Ben Watt.  We wish them good luck and are very proud of their achievements so far.
Please can they have outdoor kit in school after the holidays so we can train on a lunchtime and on Wednesday, 24th February I will lead a longer training session from 3 to 4 p.m.
