Macedonia Fundraising event – 27th May

Last month we held a fund-raising afternoon, similar to the one back in 2007, in order to sponsor Sv. Kiril and Metodij School in the town of Kocani, Macedonia.  Our first event raised monies towards classroom desks and chairs which greatly improved the learning environment for the pupils.  We are pleased to share with you that the final total of our latest event is £1058.18.  The response and support has been absolutely amazing and much appreciated.  Thank you to all who gave so generously.   Mrs Lambe has shared with the staff and pupils the work that the Missions Team at The Destiny Church are presently involved in; raising funds to refurbish and equip an ambulance for the people in Kocani.  As a school, our monies will once again be presented to Sv. Kiril and Metodij School in Kocani.   The Mission Team from The Destiny Church, who took part in our 2007 fun day, will be travelling to Macedonia in August to oversee the support work and will update us upon their return.  In the Autumn term we shall share with you the details of the work carried out on the windows of the school and any other project which may have been possible due to this tremendous donation. Linking with Sv. Kiril and Metodij School is such a valuable opportunity for our children so we will be sending a `Holy Trinity Portfolio’ via Pastor Jonathan and Catherine Harris to Macedonia providing a flavour of our school community with photographs of the fun events which allowed us to raise such an amount.
England

Thank you to everyone who took part in our school fund raising event on Wednesday by wearing Red and White.

Little Billy

Well done to all the year 6 pupils and choir members who put on an outstanding performance of “Little Billy” for parents and friends on Thursday evening.  The acting was superb and the singing was magical.  Thank you to all pupils for their hard work in ensuring a “perfect” performance.  Thank you also to Mr Robson who wrote “Little Billy”, produced it and played guitar.  Thank you also to Mrs Fawcett, Mrs Crowe, Miss Lavelle, Mrs Storm, Mr and Mrs Woodroff, Mrs Gibson, Mrs Sawyer and Mrs Lott, for their hard work creating props, producing and taking the time and effort to make this production possible.  Thank you also to Mrs Gale for her musical input.  Finally, thank you to everyone for supporting the production by buying tickets and making donations totalling £323.50 which will go towards our “production fund” and will help us with future productions
